ABC Macintosh Ltd – New Product Introduction
ABC Macintosh is a producer of environmentally friendly fire fighting products. We have worked with this client to develop the business strategy and position the products in the fire extinction and prevention market.
In association with a French chemical supplier and French and German academic institutions, ABC Macintosh has developed a ground breaking process for removing fluorinated carbons from fire fighting foams, rendering them safe for disposal as required by law.
Brookfield has worked with the client to arrange the patenting of the process, the development of the business plan, test marketing and production of the process units.
The work with ABC Macintosh has been highly successful. Strong business relationships have been established with major fire service companies and fire brigades in the UK, Ireland, France, Israel, Sweden and Finland. The client now has offices or agencies in Asia and South America.
Turn Key Air Conditioning
Turn Key Air Conditioning (TKAC) are specialists in air conditioning and ecology based heating systems. Brookfield Consultancy worked with TKAC to develop a marketing strategy which saw the company foster a very close relationship with its major supplier – Mitsubishi Electric. In a liaison capacity, Brookfield has helped the two businesses to work on joint projects, offering customers top of the range products and seamless customer service.
Initiatives such as offsite manufacture have created a win, win, win result for TKAC. Mitsubishi Electric and the customer.
ME’s strong position in commercial air conditioning, and especially systems well suited to hotels, has enabled TKAC to exploit an attractive niche. Our client now has a special partner status with ME and this is working with spectacular results in the co-operative agreements with many prestigious hotel groups.

Rhinos Plant Hire

Rhinos Plant Hire hires out a wide range of plant and tools to demolition companies, construction companies and domestic customers. The business is based in Brentwood and hires to customers across Essex, Kent, East Anglia and London.
Plant hire requires a continuous stream of investment in new equipment such as diggers, mini diggers, rollers, bobcats, telehandlers and dumpers. A strong position on the search engines for the relevant kit, in specified locations, is essential, to bring onboard new customers. Autus has developed a fully responsive mobile friendly website for Rhinos, which TKnumerous clients have commented on regarding usability – their number one priority.
A fully integrated online marketing strategy has been implemented, drawing in the Facebook and Instagram platforms to support the new website. Brookfield has appointed a social media specialist to work directly with Rhinos and to co-ordinate with Autus to promote the Rhinos brand to the target demographic. Autus has used several tools to identify potential new customer characteristics and the appropriate packages are then promoted online.
Hospitalmart Ltd – Controlled Disposal of Surplus Hospital Equipment
The MD of this company has an existing business supplying high specification wheelchairs and other mobility equipment to the NHS and other hospital and health related organisations.
Brookfield Consultancy developed the marketing strategy for Hospitalmart and assisted with its implementation, namely the generation of new business leads – locating new clients for the business, primarily suppliers of equipment, consumables or services used by hospitals, clinics and HNS hubs.
Waste Food Solutions
Brookfield Consultancy has helped Waste Food Solutions to evolve through several stages of business development. Initially the business was focused on manufacturing machinery to separate unsold food from its packaging. The equipment range has been refined over a period of eight years to deal with most forms of waste food (excluding meat products) from supermarkets, food manufacturers and contract packing companies. The de-packaging units can deal with plastic or paper wrapping and also glass bottles and jars.
De-packaging units have sold throughout the UK and Europe and the company maintains a healthy order book.
In addition to making and installing the machinery, WFS also undertakes contract food de-packaging. Many organisations prefer to contract out waste food de-packaging and disposal. WFS has an extensive customer bank of farmers who will pay a reasonable price for wholesome animal feed produced via this process.
Brookfield Consultancy has advised on the product costing, pricing and marketing of the food de-packaging units. It has also created and implemented a strategy for brand awareness on a global scale. Brookfield has also assisted with product placement, which has seen contract packaging experience very healthy growth alongside machinery manufacture. Amongst the many benefits are the positive implications for cash flow, in a business initially funded primarily by staged payment from equipment sales.
Pool Maintenance Ltd – Leisure Pool Design & Maintenance Engineers
Pool Maintenance design and install the water treatment plant for use in swimming pools. Clients include local authorities, schools, hotels, leisure centres, private individuals, hospitals and equine therapy centres. The directors of the business asked Brookfield Consultancy to review the strategy of Pool Maintenance and identify the sectors of the market in which Filtration can maximise its competitive advantage. Working with the management of the company, as a team, we developed the marketing plan and assisted in its implementation to deliver result in the target sectors.

SM Garden Sheds
SM Garden Sheds are a major UK importer and wholesaler of timber, plastic and metal garden storage equipment and garden furniture. Brookfield has worked with SMGS, advising on sensitively entering the retail garden storage market, without causing disruption to existing client relationships. The main thrust of this market realignment has been the move into online marketing.
