Brookfield Consultancy works with new businesses in the Northwest on
behalf of the University of Salford, which operates a European Union funded
assistance programme for new businesses. Businesses under 12 months old
and based in the Northwest are welcome to contact us. We will arrange
to visit you to discuss a business issue of your choice. A frequent request
is for assistance in the development of an effective marketing plan to
accelerate the development of the client base.

Innovation Forum – Managed Office Space Salford

The Innovation Forum is a state of the art managed office facility, providing fully managed office facilities and support for growing businesses looking for a Salford / Manchester location. State of the art telecommunications, reception and secretarial services, secure low cost parking and excellent rail access to Manchester city centre make this an ideal business location.
Brookfield was heavily involved in the development of the marketing strategy for this new facility and is now active in the implementation. This involves liaison with business support agencies to maximise awareness of and structural involvement with the facility. Associate business Autus is developing the Innovation Forum's website.

ABC Macintosh Ltd – New Product Introduction

ABC Macintosh is a producer of environmentally friendly
fire fighting products. We have worked with this client to develop
the business strategy and position the products in the fire extinction
and prevention market.
In association with a French chemical supplier and French and German
academic institutions, ABC Macintosh has developed a ground breaking
process for removing fluorinated carbons from fire fighting foams,
rendering them safe for disposal as required by law.
Brookfield has worked with the client to arrange the patenting
of the process, the development of the business plan, test marketing
and production of the process units.

The pre-marketing activity has yielded excellent responses, with firm
interest expressed in the process by major fire service companies and
fire brigades in the UK, Ireland, France, Israel, Sweden and Finland.
Learning Expanse Ltd – SuccessQA

Learning Expanse is a developer of distance learning
software.
The SuccessQA software has been developed in response to the difficulties
experienced by educational institutions in preparing and presenting
information for inspections by a range of inspection bodies including
Ofsted and QAA.
Brookfield has facilitated the development of the strategy of the
business, the definition and patenting of some of the products and
the launch of SuccessQA. This product has had an excellent reception
in the UK at school, college and university level. A team of educational
product managers is currently being developed across the UK to roll
out the product to the education sector.

P&A Manchester – Personal Debt Services

Poppleton & Appleby is a major player in the Northwest corporate
insolvency and business recovery sector. Brookfield has facilitated
the strategy discussions which have culminated in the decision to
expand the activity into the field of personal debt.
Brookfield has assisted in defining the target client base and
in developing the strategy to penetrate the market sector.

Hospitalmart Ltd - Disposal of Surplus Hospital Equipment

The MD of this company has an existing business
supplying high specification wheelchairs and other mobility equipment
to the NHS and other hospital and health related organisations.

Brookfield Consultancy developed the marketing strategy for Hospitalmart
and assists on an ongoing bassis with its implementation. This has included
working with our associate business, Autus, to develop an interactive
e-commerce website. We also assist in the generation of business leads
- locating clients for the business, primarly suppliers of equipment,
consumables or services used by hospitals, clinics and HNS hubs.

Filtration Ltd - Leisure Pool Design Engineers

Filtration design and install the water treatment
plant for use in swimming pools. Clients include local authorities,
private individuals, hospitals and equine therapy centres. The directors
of the business asked Brookfield Consultancy to review the strategy
of Filtration and identify the sectors of the market in which Filtration
can maximise its competitive advantage. We then assisted in the
development and implementation of the action plan to deliver result
in these sectors.
